Serif head WIP 1

Description

Alright everyone! My huge undertaking is, well, underway! I'm building my Serif Fullsuit. Here's the start, it's his head. Well, the start of his head. The idea is that the beak will be hard-attached to the facemask, along with the eyes and cheeks. The fur will then branch from there, and cover the headfeathers and the rest of the helmet. The headfeathers will be attached to the helmet with heavy-duty Velcro, then pulled tight into place using the neck to put tension into keeping everything in place.

Why am I doing this? The only way into the hockey helmet is by opening up the facemask. So, if everything is removable, I can open it, put the helmet on, close the mask, stick the feathers into place, then zip/snap the back closed and it'll hold everything. Also, if I ever wish to use the helmet as a headbase again, I can just undo the screws that hold on the mask, and buy a new wire facemask. They are cheep, and I have a proper-sized head for me. It's also solid, so it won't be damaged during transport.

So far, I don't have the Velcro holding on the feathers. So they are taped in place. Sorry about that. The beak has one of four pieces in place. Also taped until I can find a way to attach it to the wire mask. The bottom jaw will be articulated. Here are pictures! No red-lines as of yet, please. Once I get the feathers on in their place (meaning, no tape) and have the beak and cheeks in place, I'll ask for redlines.

Anyway, any thoughts besides redlines? To be moved to scraps on my next head upload.
